There are lots of people out there who have a fully formed opinion about cars and trucks and know exactly what they like and don’t like. However, there are also plenty of people who either don’t know enough about vehicles to have formed strong opinions or are simply open-minded about what they’re willing to drive.

Here are some tips that can help you figure out if a vehicle is not right for you:
It doesn’t fit with your needs and lifestyle.

This ranges anywhere from how big your family is, to how long your commute is, to whether or not you frequently need to transport big items. Make a list of how you’ll be using the vehicle, and make sure the one(s) you’re looking at check off all (or most) of your requirements.
You don’t feel comfortable driving it
It’s absolutely critical that you feel comfortable driving a vehicle, not just because it needs to be a pleasant experience, but because not being comfortable behind the wheel is incredibly dangerous. If you are operating a vehicle that you don’t feel “right” driving, then you’re putting your own safety at risk. Always make sure that you feel comfortable driving a vehicle, even if it takes a little getting used to.
You hate the way it looks
It’s ok not to be completely in love with the way your car looks. Most people can’t afford to buy the cars they think are the absolute best-looking ones. But if you truly hate the way a vehicle looks, then you shouldn’t buy it. You’ll have to look at the vehicle you buy for probably the next few years, so why put yourself through the pain of being disgusted every time you’re walking up to your car in a parking lot.
